Will Stroet: Will’s Jams, A Rockin’ DVD For Kids {Giveaway}
We received a great new kid’s music DVD by award-winning Vancouver children’s musician Will Stroet. His DVD “Will’s Jams” features Will’s favourite songs about vegetables and healthy eating, sports, road safety while riding your bike, colours and more!
“Full of Beans” inspires children to eat their vegetables (eat their broccoli and their sprouts!) with super catchy lyrics and sounds. That is one of our favorite songs on the DVD and I still have it stuck in my head. The lyrics are so fun! I have a picky eater and I noticed that having never liked broccoli before he was actually willing to try it after watching the fun video. I sang the song when I served the broccoli and he smiled and tried it. I was impressed!
Another one of his videos that I really liked and helped with our bed time routine was “Hygiene and Eugene”. I usually struggle when it is time to brush my son’s teeth and I started singing the song while brushing his teeth. He is definitively more receptive when I sing the song and dance a bit like on the video.
One of my son’s favourite videos was the “I Feel So Blue”. He is just learning about colors and the video shows the transition of a few colors that he can identify easily. He points and says the color as soon as the screen changes colors.
The sports and road safety videos were also wonderful. It is fantastic to be able to teach your little one about safety with a fun music video. It is something we will definitively use and play for him again once he starts riding bikes and playing team sports.
In general we really enjoy all of the videos and songs and we love how interactive and high energy the music is. The colors are bright and the animations are fun. You can watch his “Full of Beans” video below and see for yourself. Isn’t it super catchy?
