Cortex Solo 450 Titanium Flat-Iron Review {Holiday Gift Idea}

Cortex Solo 450 Review

Finding a good flat-iron that works for me is not an easy task. My natural hair is wavy and I have lots of hair so I am constantly looking for THE one.

I recently received the Cortex Solo 450 Flat Iron from Flat Iron Experts to try out and I think I’m in love. The Cortex Solo 450 is one of the hottest flat irons in the market. I have never owned a flat-iron that heats up to 450 degrees F before.  This flat-iron features adjustable heat and it is ergonomically designed to be used on all types of hair (including ultra thick frizzy hair!).

Cortex Solo HairThe Cortex Solo 450 is super lightweight, its nano titanium technology provides a super hard, sooth surface that allows for even heat distribution. Titanium plates are also great conductors of heat that emit negative ions and far infrared heat, this eliminates frizz and closes the cuticle to create smooth, shiny, gorgeous hair.

This flat-iron is designed to preserve more moisture within the hair shaft and cause less damage on the hair cuticle during styling than other flat irons in the market.   I really like that the Cortex Solo 450 is super smooth and the plates don’t pull my hair, it really works wonders on my wavy hair. I also love that it heats up in less than 6 seconds!

I also received a Flat Iron Experts flat-iron holder, the little holder keeps the flat-iron from burning counters and it can be attached to the counter securely with the suction cups it has on the bottom. I LOVE it!  These are just $14.99 and they are a must have if you own a flat-iron.

Holiday Gift Guide

I also got to try the KQC Thermal Shine from  Flat Iron Experts. This product helps protect hair from the heat during styling, and it adds extra shine. I love that it is lightweight, non-greasy and helps eliminate frizz while softening and polishing my hair without extra build up.

I recommend you visit Flat Iron Experts and check out their fabulous selection of flat irons and styling products.  A brand new flat-iron would make a wonderful holiday gift for a loved one, specially when they are getting high quality products backed with a 100% satisfaction money-back guarantee!

Buy it: The Cortex Solo 450 Flat-Iron is now on sale for just $129.99, regular price: $259.99!

    November 22-first a question; How is it that almost all peiple with b eautiful naturally curly hair spend hours pressing it flat, and those of us with straight hair spend an equal amount of time curling ours?111
    I know whereof I speak because I have two granddaughters with beautifjl curly shiny hair which they do not want to show to the public! This Cortex Solo 4450 would be a wonderful gift for them. Thank you for telling us about this product and its accessories.

    Have you tried the CHI or GHD? HOw does it compare to those?

      Hi Saira, I haven’t tried a CHI before but I owned a GHD. I would say the GHD is very similar but I found mine would heat up too much (the handles). With the Cortex I don’t feel the heat everywhere and I like that.

    This sounds wonderful; I need a flat iron that preserves the moisture in myhair because it dries out so easy

    I see that most are thrilled that it heats up to such a high temperature but isn’t that really bad for your hair? I’ve never used a flat iron but one of my daughters does (and her hair is straight!) but she only uses it before going out. Another daughter has natural super curly hair and sometimes does go and have it straightened professionally – which doesn’t last long of course.

    This sounds like a really good iron but what I like even more is the cooling cover and wall mount
