Kindera – Effective Online Parental Monitoring Tool

Nowadays children grow up with easy access to WiFi connected tablets and other devices at home. Spending time online is a normal part of their life and parents have a big responsibility to ensure their kid’s safety while on the Internet.

Did you know that 74% of teens rely on their parents or other adults for information about protecting themselves online? If you have a child or a teen at home I highly recommend you learn about internet safety and take steps towards protecting them while they are online. Their online safety is your responsibility as an adult.

Enter Kindera, a high performance WiFi hub designed for parents and families to help protect and teach children about online safety. Supporting them every step of the way, from childhood to their teenage years and young adulthood.

This unique device helps you manage your home internet access, receive e-mail alert notifications if your child is putting his safety at risk online, or viewing sites you do not approve of, and create access schedules; ensuring that children have internet access when needed through the day and not after bedtime or at inappropriate times.

Our 5-year-old has a tablet that he uses to stream his favourite shows. Right now all of the access he has to the device is supervised, but I still worry about him clicking on something accidentally or surfing the net and landing on inappropriate pages without us knowing right away, every parent’s biggest fear!

photo 1_zps7achper3.jpgAfter connecting Kindera to my existing home router and setting up a profile for my child I was able to select when he was allowed to access the Internet, specify content restrictions based on his age, controlling  which sites are appropriate for his age group and deny/allow access to apps like Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, etc.

I absolutely love the piece of mind of knowing that he won’t be accessing any inappropriate sites and that he is safe while playing with the devices. I feel like he should be allowed to explore the devices without the fear of ending up accessing a website or an app that may not be age appropriate or safe.

Do I feel better knowing that I can protect my child and teach him how to use the internet safely? Yes, thanks to Kindera I do, all from the palm of my hand!

Kindera is available for $199.99 + 12 months of free service right now. Learn more about Kindera and how to join the Kindera cause by visiting their website.

What a great idea this device is, I would definitely want one of these if I had young children to protect. The internet can be a dangerous place for children and I’d feel much safer with one of these helping to guard my child against the dangers lurking out there. Thanks for posting 🙂

Kids seem to just intuitively use technology these days… So having this for the kiddos is awesome; I would definitely use it!

Thx very much for this terrific information. I’d never heard of this monitoring device and it sounds like it would be a “must have” for all parents of children on-line!
