SPOT IT! by Blue Orange Games {2012 NETS Gold Star Award Winner}

Spot it game!

I recently had the chance to check out some toys from the Top Ten 2012 Gold Start Award Winners list of the Neighbourhood Toy Stores of Canada (NETS), including the Spot It! party game.

The NETS annual Gold Star Award products are toys that are tested by real kids and parents, and they have been described as ‘a great find’ and ‘the perfect fit’. These toys and games earn recognition based on their ‘exceptional’ play value, durability and safety. They are the toys and games that kids continue to play with long after they are ‘new’.

Spot It ! is a fast play game for sharp-eyed people. Players must look at two cards and find the matching symbol, (the symbol that appears on both cards.)   There is always one, and only one, matching symbol and whoever spots it first wins.

I love that the cards come in a convenient grab-n-go tin that is portable and makes clean up and storage easy.  The game is recommended for ages 7+ and I had a blast playing it with my husband. My 2-year-old is a bit too young to play but I think that children as young as 5 would have a great time playing it, as long as they can name the shapes they should be fine.

Spot It! is a fun game that will test your reflexes and sharp eye!  After the first game we were totally hooked, this is a truly entertaining game.

    That is certainly different than a lot of other games because it is more visual.

    this sounds like it’s fun to play, I haven’t seen it around though so maybe it didn’t end up being too popular. Some games seem to live for years Uno, Monopoly etc and others only for a short time.
