Did you know that jumping on a trampoline is great exercise? We’ve had a Springfree for the backyard since last summer, and we love it. Springfree is the World’s Safest Trampoline. They provide the safest spring- less, enclosed backyard trampolines and they are an excellent way to keep kids happy, safe and active while they play outside.

Jumping on the trampoline is a great way to burn energy and exercise while enjoying some fresh air. Below I am sharing some of the top reasons why we believe jumping on a trampoline is one of the best ways to exercise for both children and adults!

Jumping on a Trampoline is Great Exercise

1. It is an easy and fun way to exercise

Something we love about jumping on the trampoline is that it doesn’t feel like exercise, it is so fun and easy, virtually anyone can do it. You can spend 30 minutes jumping and time goes by fast because you are enjoying it, you don’t even think about checking your watch.  And when the boys jump, they are burning energy and enjoying the fresh air safely at home.

2. It is a cardio workout

Yes, your heart rate increases when you are jumping so your heart is getting a good workout, this is one of the easiest ways to build cardio fitness. Great cardiovascular exercise for the entire family.

3. Improves motor skills and coordination

Our trampoline has the tgoma digital gaming system installed, an add-on gaming system that has been designed for trampolines to get kids active outdoors. There are many learning games available and games that help with their concentration, coordination and motor skills. Jumping while changing positions and balancing is also a workout for the brain!

4.  Muscle toning

Jumping requires you to keep your core muscles engaged to stay balanced; you also use your leg and calf muscles while bouncing and jumping. If you are looking to have defined, toned muscles then adding jumping on a trampoline to your daily routine can help.

5. It is a low-impact exercise

Worried about your joints? Bouncing on a trampoline is an excellent way to workout without putting too much pressure on your joints. The trampoline absorbs the landing force and keeps your ankles, knees, and hips happy!

6. Endorphins, endorphins, endorphins

I tell you, whenever the boys are cranky or need some mood lifting bouncing on the trampoline helps big time. Jumping and exercising releases endorphins, and help make you feel happy and less stressed.  We also find that those days when they spend time outside, enjoying the fresh air and exercising they sleep much better at night.

We love Springfree because their trampoline uses rods to form a flexible soft edge resulting in the rigid frame being lowered around below the jumping surface, removing two known hazards then, the rigid perimeter frame and the steel coil springs. The trampoline also has a Flexinet to prevent jumpers from falling off the trampoline entirely.

The kids love jumping, and so do we. We can’t wait to invite our friends over for summer jumping parties. So much fun!
