I started my cloth diaper journey with FuzziBunz OS Cloth Diapers. Those were the first cloth diapers we owned and loved and one of the very first reviews I wrote for this blog.   I have since tried many other brands but I will always have a soft spot for  FuzziBunz diapers.

When I was given a chance to try out their new Elite OS diapers I knew I had to say Yes!  I was sent a One Size Spearmint Elite diaper to try from Calgary Cloth Diaper Depot, they are a Canadian store that carries a variety of cloth diapers and diapering accessories at some of the best prices available on the market.

I received the FuzziBunz OS Elite diaper and immediately tried to compared it to the old FuzziBunz diapers.  The Elite diapers are noticeably slimmer than the old FuzziBunz.  They also have a lower rise and a general better fit.

The FuzziBunz Elite diapers have two rows of snaps to adjust the waist and thigh area. The snaps are the same durable/high quality snaps that FuzziBunz is known for. The second row that adjusts the thighs has 3 snaps instead of 4 and that is because the FuzziBunz Elite diapers have a bit less fabric in the middle compared to the old version, allowing for a better,  trimmer fit.

The inside fleece that is in contact with the baby’s skin is a special quick dry fleece that dries faster than the fleece that was used in the old diapers.  The one visual difference I noticed is that there is a lot less pilling of the fleece after multiple uses.  I usually hang-dry my diapers overnight and I have never had any issues with the fleece taking longer than a few hours to dry.

A big improvement I noticed is that the FuzziBunz Elite diapers have the elastic adjustments inside of the diaper (you must turn the diaper inside out to access it), hiding the button that used to irritate the baby’s skin in the old diapers. I really like that I don’t have to worry about the buttons.

Something else I really like about the Elite diapers is the new material for the inserts (you get one L and one S). They use minky now instead of microfiber. Microfiber usually feels like you are touching a rough towel, minky feels soft and it has a silky smooth texture that I love.  Minky is also supposed to absorb better than microfiber.

I used the large insert with a FuzziBunz hemp insert for nap time and we had no leaking.  For over night I had to use bamboo/hemp because my little one needs the extra absorbency and didn’t make it all night with the minky/hemp alone.

Another big plus with the new minky inserts is that the diaper is easier to stuff because the silky inserts slides in easier/faster than the old microfiber ones did.  I am a fan of minky inserts.

I really like the improved FuzziBunz Elite diaper and I love that they price stayed the same as the old version. I would pick the Elite over the old version anytime.
