I am a huge Disney fan and I love Winnie the Pooh.  During my childhood I remember watching many beautiful Disney films with family and friends and I am excited for my little one to watch all of Disney’s classics once he is older.

I was excited to watch Winnie the Pooh in the comfort of our home and I sure wasn’t disappointed.  I love the opening of the movie with the live-action shot of Christopher Robin’s room with all of the stuffed animals and the voice of the narrator (John Cleese) introducing the story.  So innocent, timeless and charming.

A wonderful movie inspired by the stories from A.A. Milne’s books and crafted in Disney’s classic style, “Winnie the Pooh”  reunites audiences with Pooh, Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Owl, Kanga, Roo and Eeyore.

The movie was entertaining and fresh and I love how you can see the little characters as part of a book and sometimes even interacting with the letters on the pages.  It kept the story moving and it was very creative and fun.

Our favorite bonus features were the “Mini-Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: The Balloon” where Pooh comes up with a plan to get a hold of some honey by fooling a group of bees and the short video with tips and ideas on how to create the perfect Winnie the Pooh nursery! So cute!

I found the length of the movie just perfect (around 63 minutes total) and the 2D animation was very clever.  I really enjoyed watching and I think it was funny, warm and beautiful.  “Winnie the Pooh” is a must see for the entire family, so be sure to get your copy when it comes out on DVD/Blu-Ray this October 25th, 2011.
