Along with insuring we’re taking care of ourselves with lots of natural immunity boosters, we like to drink as many nutrient-rich smoothies full of Vitamin C. This Citrus Blast Smoothie is so delicious and packed full of yummy fruits. It’s also a big hit with kids! If you’re feeling a bit under the weather or trying to protect yourself from pesky germs, this the perfect smoothie to drink, any time of the year.

Citrus Blast Smoothie

Yield: feeds 3-4 people

Ingredients

  • Ingredients
  • 4 oranges, peeled and quartered
  • 1 large grapefruit, peeled and quartered
  • 2 cups of frozen strawberries (fresh will also work but add a few ice cubes if you're using fresh)
  • 1 1/2 medium-large bananas, chopped (freeze beforehand if possible)
  • 2 cups of apple juice
  • 1 cup of water

Instructions

Place all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
