Redfish

I love supporting local companies like Redfish Kids Clothing from Vancouver, Canada. With garments inspired by the street fashion of cities like Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Tokyo, their fabrics and prints are truly unique, fresh and stylish. So many gorgeous pieces!

All of their garments are locally made in Vancouver and their clothing starts at newborn size and goes up to 14 years old. I appreciate that they are committed to local manufacturing and eliminating their carbon footprint.

I recently received a couple of pieces to try out for my two boys and I just love their clothing.

kimono

One of the pieces they sent was their Baby Kimono Onesie, inspired by the traditional Japanese Kimono this truly unique piece allows for easy movement with comfortable leg and arm openings, perfect for chubby babies like my son, it also features super easy bottom snaps for diaper changes.  The Kimono Onesie is made of 100% cotton that is great for layering during the colder months and on its own during the summer.

hoodie

We also received their Fish Bone Hoodie for my toddler and I love how super-soft and warm it is. The hoodie is made with flannel and it features a hood and snap buttons. Again another versatile piece that can be worn during the winter on top of a tee or during the summer evenings on its own. You have to love all-season clothing.

Both the baby kimono and the hoodie are made with high quality fabrics and they are durable and functional. I machine wash them and dry on low and I haven’t experienced any issues with them. I think it is fantastic that they are sweatshop-free and they are made in my city!
