The Lady and the Tramp is one of my favorite Disney stories of all times,  I had a chance to re-live the magic of a classic with the Diamond Edition set I received. The set came with both the DVD and High Definition Blu-ray discs.

The Lady and the Tramp is a timeless heart-warming classic that the entire family can enjoy. It is charming and I love the music and animation and all the little details that make it a great love story. The interaction between the characters just works and I like being able to watch it on high definition.

Something I love about watching movies on DVD and Blu-ray is the chance to watch all of the bonus material.   Some of the  Blu-ray Bonus I got to enjoy were the audio commentary: Inside Walt’s Story Meetings, Diane Disney Miller: Remembering Dad, three never-before-seen deleted scenes and a never recorded song: “I’m Free as the Breeze”.  The DVD had some great bonus material as well. My favorite was the “PuppyPedia: Going to the Dogs” feature with Fred Willard, there was a lot of really interesting information about dogs, breeds and their specific characteristics.

I enjoyed watching the movie and I am looking forward to watching some of the other Disney classics on high definition. Don’t miss the release of the Lady and the Tramp Diamond Edition on February 7, 2012.

Synopsis: A classic love story unfolds in the best Disney tradition as a lovely young pedigreed cocker spaniel named Lady, who lives a pampered life, finds herself falling romantically for Tramp, an amorous street-smart pooch without prospects. Although they have fun together on several dates, including a sentimental spaghetti dinner by moonlight at Tony’s restaurant, their relationship is strained not only by Lady’s loyalty to her human family and their newborn baby, but by Tramp’s devil may-care attitude that eventually gets Lady in trouble and tossed into the dog pound. However, good-hearted Tramp redeems himself by saving the baby from potential harm and thus wins Lady’s love and the affection of her human family.
