playtex cup

I recently introduced my 7-month-old to drinking water in a sippy cup.  I decided to use the new Playtex® TrainingTime Starter Cups and I received a set to try.

The TrainingTime Starter Cups have been designed to help ease the transition from bottle to sippy cup and come in both spout and straw formats starting from ages 6 months+. We tried the spout format.

At first my son found the cup more fun to play with and throw than actually drink from. It was really fun watching him play with it and “explore” his new cup. He is used to brestfeeding exclusively since birth and only drank from a bottle a few times so using a spout was new, but after a few tries he started drinking from it on his own.

The TrainingTime Starter Cups are BPA-free, dishwasher safe and they feature a soft spout that’s designed for baby’s sensitive gums. I like that it has removable handles that my son can use to hold the cup and I can easily remove them when packing up the cup for on the go.

I also really like that these cups are designed with Twist ‘n Click technology for a 100% leak proof guarantee, guaranteed not to spill in a lunchbox or bag when assembled properly. The cups also come with a handy removable clear cover that keeps the spouts clean and it is great when transporting them in your diaper bag.

Buy it: You can purchase a set of TrainingTime Starter Cups at your local ToysRUs or online here. They are available for $10.99 a set.
