Good Night Sleep! That is something I surely miss.  My son was a pretty “good” sleeper for the first 4 months of his life. We had some amazing  7-8 hour nights of peaceful sleep and no wakings and I considered myself one of the lucky ones.  Then at 5 months everything changed! We are now waking up almost every two hours at night. So when GoodParentGoodChild contacted me to do a review of their new Good Night book I was excited to see if I could go back to the 7-8 hour routine!

I actually received two books. Good Night for me to read and Matilda & Maxwell’s Good Night is for your child. The Goodnight book was very easy to read and full of tips and advice.  I love books that have real life stories of real families and case examples and Good Night has lots of that. It just makes you feel so much better when you read about other families going through the same and how they were able to change the routine and get their kids to sleep through the night!
I also like that there are sections for each of the three experts to give their advice and to share their wisdom from their own perspective.  The What’s the Rule? technique used in the book makes so much sense!  Their technique is successful with children as young as 2 years of age and even with teenagers. Even though my little one is too young for me to explain the rule I am still implementing all of their advice. It just makes so much sense to start now when it is easier to change his routine than to wait and do it later when it is way more difficult to change.
I love how they are very positive in the book and they present the right tools to overcome the bedtime challenge. I am sure that if I continue following their advice and use their technique from the very beginning I will have no problems getting my son to sleep in his own room at the same time everyday.
A great fun book to read that I loved and will keep around to read again!
