waterproof case iPhone

Winter time time is all about spending time with your family outdoors, experiencing many family adventures in the snow and enjoying some snowboarding, sledding and tobogganing.

A few weeks ago we went to Squamish and took the Sea to Sky Gondola up the mountain, I of course had my iPhone on me to capture the fun times. I got some pretty cool shots and I was happy to have my new Waterproof Catalyst case and floating lanyard with me to protect my iPhone while hiking and playing in the snow and the tube park. Tubing and playing in the snow is fun but you definitively get wet and a wet phone is not good news.

The Catalyst case is super slim and lightweight but it is also durable and rugged. It keeps my iPhone dry at all times and it even protects it against drops! Our one-year-old is constantly trying to grab my iPhone whenever I leave it on the table and he has dropped it a million times already. Thanks to the Catalyst case my phone is still working and my screen is still intact!

Something worth mentioning is that while the Catalyst case is on you can still use iPhone features like Touch ID, access the charging and headphone ports and maintain high voice call quality even underwater! You also continue to experience true sound acoustics.

Having a Catalyst case on your phone also means that you can wash the phone whenever it gets really dirty without having to worry about finding wipes and not getting it wet. Like when you toddler plays with your phone while eating greasy french fries or pop corn.  Sound familiar?

Here’s a little video I recorded of me testing the case. I did it without the phone in because a) I am using the phone to record the video and b) so you could actually see clearly inside the case, notice how no water gets inside the case after full submersion, love it!

The floating lanyard is another cool little Catalyst gadget I received to test.  The floating lanyard is designed to keep your phone afloat when in the water, perfect if you go swimming, fishing, boating, etc. You can keep your phone securely attached to your wrist using the adjustable wrist strap and if for some reason you drop it in the water then you know your device will float right away. It is like a little parachute/life vest for your phone, such a neat invention! MSRP: $19.99
