SpaRoomBlackAromaMis

Last year I decided to enter the magical, mystical world of essential oils by getting myself a diffuser and a handful of basic oils.  The diffuser worked perfectly fine, however it was not kid-friendly.  It was made out of glass, had a blindingly bright light bulb and was EXTREMELY hot to the touch.  Our new apartment doesn’t have any kid-free zones to use such a potentially dangerous contraption, so as a result I haven’t unpacked it. This has been a problem. But I found a solution: swapping my potentially hazardous diffuser for a SpaRoom AromaMist diffuser that uses water, stays completely cool to the touch and gives off a cool pastel glow.

The AromaMist diffuser is ready to roll right out of the box.  Simply plug in the cord, fill the internal tub with ½ cup of fresh water and a few drops of essential oil.  Place the top cover back on the machine and press the “Mist” button for three hours of continuous ultrasonic misting action.  For extra ambiance, the diffuser has four light settings – pink, blue, green, or slowly rotating – with a few clicks of the “Light” button.

I don’t understand the science behind the ultrasonic misting technology, but it’s cool.  Literally.  The mist that shoots out of the top of the diffuser is visible, but not hot to the touch.  This means the babies can wave their hands over the mist without fear of steam burns.  We have been using this AromaMist diffuser every day for the last week.  It’s been a fun learning experience for the whole family trying out different oil combinations based on our mood.

And speaking of oil combinations, check out SpaRoom’s Pinterest board of essential oil recipes and uses.  I’m an admitted essential oil noob so I found their infographics and recipe cards extremely helpful in getting our blends right.

If you are new to essential oils and looking for an easy to use diffuser that is kid-safe and looks cool, the AromaMist is a good fit for you.  It’s available in either white or black with a low profile of 6”w x 3”h.  Order it directly from the Spa Room website, which is easy to navigate and shop.  And while you’re there, check out the other extremely cool gadgets Spa Room sells like the Aromafier and AromaPen.
