healthy choices

I recently received the new children’s book Healthy Choices, Happy Kids: Making Good Choices with Every Day Care” by Lisa Greene, Foster Cline, MD and Gina L. May to review.

I love reading books with my children and having a preschooler who is very interested in books is a great incentive to find educational books with a good message for him.

This new book explores choices and consequences and it’s a wonderful tool to help little ones understand the consequences of making good and not so good decisions.

The book features fun short stories with colourful illustrations and relatable characters with real life and common everyday situations.  I love that the situations presented cover things like choosing healthy foods to eat, bruising teeth, hand washing and more.

Healthy Choices, Happy Kids helps parents and children overcome the challenges of learning good, old fashioned self-care concepts in a fresh, exciting way. There is also a hidden frog on every page that gives you a fun game to play also while reading.

This is a wonderful book and I definitively recommend it as a tool for teaching little ones about consequences in a fun, non-threating way!
