Teething Bling by SmartMom

When I first visited the Teething Bling’s website I was looking for a stylish yet safe for baby piece of jewelry. I have many beautiful necklaces and chains that I am not able to wear anymore because of the constant tug I get from my son when wearing them or because a lot of times he tries to chew on them.

I was very happy to get a chance to review this Teething Bling necklace because my son is teething at the moment and I really wanted to try one for a while.

The package I received
Lapis Lazuli Donut Shaped Pendant

I picked theLapis Lazuli Donut Shaped Pendant because I loved the color right away.  I must say the color is even nicer up close.

The very first thing that surprised me when I saw it was that the donut shaped pendant is actually soft. From the look of it in the website I thought it was going to be a hard rock pendant.  It made me feel good to know that it was actually soft for his little gums.  The pendant is made from a silicone that is phthalate and lead free, it is non-toxic and dishwasher safe.  They use the same materials as many teething toys available in the market.

When my husband saw me wearing it he complemented me on it and said it look stylish. When I told him it was designed for babies to handle and chew on it he was surprised and even more when I said it was made of soft silicone. He also thought it was made of a hard rock like material.

My little boy loves to chew on it

The real test was to see if my son liked it.  He absolutely loved it! I own a couple of “nursing” necklaces that are for babies to touch but not to chew and he hates the fact that he is not allowed to put them in his mouth.  I like that when I am wearing my Teething Bling I don’t have to worry about him putting it in his mouth.

One of my favorite things about it is that I basically have a teething “toy” with me whenever I go that actually looks stylish and I don’t have to worry about it taking space in my diaper bag or falling on a dirty floor. Perfect when running errands and going out with my son.

SmartMom has generously donated one Teething Bling (the winners color choice) for one lucky reader.
