Our five-year-old is now on summer break before he starts Kindergarten in September. The summer months are all about outdoor play and lots of physical games for us. I also like adding some educational activities like practicing his letters, numbers and writing. Finding ways to make that fun very important for us. Sitting in front of a book for hours is not very engaging and I am always looking for ways to make learning easy and fun…

Enter the Hot Wheels® FUNdamentals program. My son loves his Hot Wheels® cars and plays with them daily. The Hot Wheels® FUNdamentals program offers a selection of super fun educational activities that he can do while playing with his cars and ramps, they are interactive and keep him engaged. He has a chance to play and practice basic skills like counting, colouring language, patterns and more all at the same time!

The FUNdamentals program includes lesson plans for math, science, visual arts and language. There is also relevant content online where you can find a wide selection of lesson plans and games for you to enjoy with your child.

Teachers and parents can find more information and access the free lesson plans on their website http://www.hotwheelsinschool.ca, they can also request a FREE FUNdamentals Learning Program Kit for their school. The kit includes Hot Wheels® product, a DVD with lesson plans (Kindergarten to Grade 1) and more.  Be sure to forward this information to your child’s teacher so they can request the FREE kit for your school!

Happy Summer Break!
