My son loves sports. Every time he tries a new sport it immediately becomes his absolute favourite (until the next time he tries a new sport, of course). We got the chance to try out the new NERF N-Sports soccer ball and we were really impressed. I often find that soccer balls are quite large and hard for little hands and feet to control and if mum or dad takes a shot and it goes badly, a child could get a decent ouchie.

The new N-Sports soccer ball however is made of soft NERF foam and was very easy to manoeuvre and use, even for my five year old. It was also quite versatile as we were able to kick it around in a little mini soccer game, toss it to each other and my son tried a little bit of basketball with it as well. He also had a lot of fun just tossing it up in the air and trying to catch it and heading the ball like a “real soccer player”. He wasn’t scared to hurt himself since the ball was so “squishy”.

At a very reasonable suggested MSRP of $9.99 (USD) I think this would make a great starter ball for the preschool set, though the suggested ages are listed as 4 and up. The ball is available at most major toy retailers and at www.hasbrotoyshop.com.
