Have you ever been at a hospital with your little one during the holiday season? Each year, thousands of children and their families have to spend time in Canadian hospitals over the holidays. For them, often something as simple as a new working toy or a new game can help their hospital stay be a bit more comfortable.

During this holiday season, and for the 10th year in a row Duracell will be donating a year supply of batteries to hospital playrooms across the country to help power toys for sick children. Also, for every pack of Duracell batteries you purchase at Walmart in the month of December, Duracell will make a donation to Children’s Miracle Network. Their goal is to raise $150,000 to help the magic of the Holidays last longer. So now is the perfect time to purchase batteries for your family’s toys and holiday presents and contribute to making a child’s hospital stay a little brighter as well.

Our boys were at home sick with asthma and respiratory issues themselves a few weeks ago, so they were super excited to receive the Playskool Heroes Transformers Rescue Bots Griffin Rock Firehouse Headquarters as an early holiday gift. The toy was a fun pick me up for both.

They love Rescue Bots, and the firehouse has been fun for them. The command tower rotates 360-degrees, and there is a fun hidden projectile launcher that can be used to pretend to put out fires. The station has a secret tunnel, a vehicle launcher and a helicopter landing pad. They love pretending to be little firefighters and spend hours playing with this toy creatively and using their imagination.

I can now see how a new toy can make a difference when little ones are sick during the holidays. It can really help brighten their day.

Don’t forget to get your new batteries before the holidays and find out more about how you too can support Children’s Miracle Network hospitals to power imagination of kids throughout the holidays by visiting Duracell.com/cmn.
