I am a child of the 80’s. And while I am very thankful the style and fashion of the 80’s is long gone, I do miss some of my awesome toys. Luckily for me and my children, many of the toys that were popular during my childhood have made a big comeback (and some of them never even left!). My husband’s parents kept all of his Transformers toys and my son was thrilled to discover them a few years ago.

Hasbro has come up with a new and updated collaboration between Rescue Bots and Transformers with the new High Tide Playset. This set is geared for kids aged 3-7 and was very easy to assemble. My 6 year old was able to put most of it together himself and was pretty pleased that he was able to do so. Once he had it assembled he quickly discovered that the Transformer High Tide is transformed by inserting him into the ship and pressing him through the hull. He thought this was amazing.

This set is particularly ideal for the preschool set as the Transformer itself is made of plastic, not metal as many traditional Transformers are and is lighter and easier to manipulate. My kid, while on the older side of the recommended age range, still found this set fun to play with and took it up to his bedroom to play with it and his other Transformers.

The set retails for approximately $39.99 CDN and is widely available at major toy retailers. If you have a Rescue Bots or Transformers fan in your house or family this would make a perfect gift for the holidays.
