Looking for a fun, classic game that the kids can play outdoors while enjoying the sun? I recently did a fun project with my Cricut Joy. I put together a cute DIY Memory Game for the kids to play, all I needed was some vinyl and wood circle pieces I had at home.

The project took me just 10 minutes to make and I find the kids playing with it all the time. I love that they can take it outside to the backyard to play outdoors too.

I got the small wood circle pieces for another project before and I used the leftovers, but you can completely personalize the size of the wood pieces, and the images you want to have in each wood piece.

I used images from the Cricut Image Library and picked things I knew the boys love, like cars, motorcycles, their favourite animals, musical instruments, etc.

After they are done playing with their Memory Game they can just store all the wood pieces inside a small bag, for easy clean-up and storage, plus perfect for on-the-go. They actually use one of the personalized bags I made for them with Infusible Ink last year. So cute!

Instructions

1. Create a project on Cricut Design. Insert images of choice in pairs. All my images are in the Cricut Design Image Library. Size them to match the size of your wooden circles.

2. Cut the images on vinyl (follow the prompts on the screen).

3. Use a Weeder tool to remove all the negative pieces of the vinyl.

4. Use transfer tape and the scraper tool to apply the vinyl cuts to the wooden pieces.

You are done!

O.k. so here is what you need for this project. I used 20 wooden circles but you can use as many as you want, more or less:

Select the images you want (in pairs). I use cute images I found in the Image Library. For the boys, I picked things I knew they were going to like. You can focus on a theme or just do random images.
