Easter is quickly approaching friends, and today I am sharing How To Make an Easy LEGO Easter Egg.

We do an Easter Egg hunt in our backyard with the boys every year, and I love hiding the eggs and planning a small surprise or treat for them once the hunt is over.

This year I am thinking of changing things a bit, and instead of using plastic eggs to fill with chocolate and candy, I will use what we have at home already. Yup, LEGO eggs for them to find. We will do it in the backyard weather permitting or inside the house.

I will also get the kids to help me make the eggs as a fun activity to do together before Easter.

For their treat, I ordered some fun books for them. I placed an order from BookOutlet and I am waiting to get them next week. They have a selection of super-economical books there by the way, if you are looking for reading books for the kids, or even for yourself. I also got a bunch of workbooks there perfect for homeschooling as well.

A lot of their books are deeply discounted, lots as cheap as $2 each, so 100% worth checking out if you haven’t already. I spent $50 and got 16 books on my last order. You can also get $10 off your first order of $25 or more! Visit them HERE.

If you follow our blog then you know both my boys love LEGO, and we have lots of LEGO around the house, so I thought making LEGO Easter Eggs to hide around would be fun and something different.

I started looking for instructions online and found some great looking ones. Unfortunately, they looked like a lot of work. Enter, the flat and EASY to make LEGO Easter Eggs. I promise these are super easy to put together, no fancy building, and easy enough to make if you have some LEGO at home.

I added LEGO eyes to make them cuter, but the eyes are definitely not necessary if you don’t have them. The fun thing is that since they are so easy to make, you can get the kids involved in the process of making the eggs. You can always purchase a box of assorted LEGOS like this one, use some of the pieces to make the eggs and then the kids get to keep the eggs to add new pieces to their LEGO collection PLUS all the other LEGO that comes in the box as a fun treat once the hunt is over.

Don’t stress about matching colours either; you can mix colours and just have fun building them.

Once you have enough eggs, you can hide them around your backyard and wait for the kids to find them. I also got a cute LEGO Easter Bunny a while back because it was super cute. Doesn’t it make you smile?
