Sears toy Shop

Are your children old enough to have a Christmas wish list? Do they write letters to Santa? Our 3-year-old is too young to write letters to Santa but he is very good at making us aware of what toys he would love to have for Christmas.

We recently received the Sears Toy Book in the mail and he was super excited flipping through the pages and picking toys saying: “I want this one, and this one, and this one, and this one, and…”.  By the end he wanted almost all the boy toys pictured in the catalogue! I had to sit down with him to explain that he could only pick a few, make a top list of his favourites and that Santa was going to pick ONE very special one from his list.

It took some time and patience to go through the catalogue with him without him picking every single toy from each page but we came up with a pretty decent list and he was super proud and excited at the end.

We also selected one special toy we are taking with us to donate before the holidays. It was great to see him get involved when picking the toy and knowing that a another little kid just like him was going to be enjoying it.  I find it is so important to start this tradition with him early!

And here are his top 3 picks from the Sears Toy Book that made it to his favourite list:

Nano-Tex® Big Ben Building Set ($29.99)

Zoomer Dalmatian Robotic Dog Toy ($104.99)

Fisher-Price® Jake And The Neverland Pirates Jake’s Musical Pirate Ship Bucky ($59.99)

We haven’t decided which one he is getting yet but it will be one of the toys above for sure. He is going to be so excited!

You can also visit the Sears Toy Book and get your little ones to pick their own top favourites.  Be sure to share them on Pinterest as well!
