piano

I can’t believe our son is now in the last month of the ten month Yamaha Music Canada piano program at the Tom Lee Music Learning Centre in downtown Vancouver. We started lessons in September of last year and we’ve had the chance to see him grow and learn so much during the last ten months.

During the first months of the program our 4-year-old struggled to keep up with the rest of the class. Practice was not very fun at home and we started to doubt our decision to enroll him in classes at his young age. Then as the months went by we noticed a huge change, he was enjoying his classes and practice time at home and he was all caught up in class. Persevering paid off and all of a sudden everything clicked into place and he was thriving!

He now loves playing the piano and asks to play it multiple times a day. Practice is a lot of fun because he is excited about it and we practice daily. We are extremely proud of him and so excited to see him thriving and really enjoying all of his lessons. Next weekend we will be attending his year end concert and we can’t wait to watch him play with his classmates in front of a large audience for the very first time.

We are also now registered and ready for year two of lessons beginning in September. We have really enjoyed watching him grown and learn with the Yamaha teaching method so far and we are looking forward to the future of our happy little pianist.
