My own Pirate Tale

We love reading and we read to our little one a lot. We read before bed time every night but we also have story time during the day.

I had an opportunity to order a personalized book from I See Me! recently and I must say the book we received is one of my favorite books to read to my son now.

I just love the fact that each one of their books is made separately for each child and that you can write a dedication in the first page.  But it goes beyond the dedication,  the entire story incorporates your child’s first and last names.

Personalized Pirate Book

We received the “My very own Pirate Tale Book” and it was personalized with a dedication and his name in the first page and then his name and last name were incorporated as part of the tale. The way his name appears in the story is letter by letter so it is a wonderful tool for teaching my little one to spell his own name.

The story is very fun and engaging and the pirates are child friendly pirates. I like how it is a surprise to read the letters one by one and how at the end you see his full name.  Each letter is presented by a different sea creature (the letter matches the first letter of the name of the creature, for example a letter D is presented by a Dolphin) and at the end of the book you can see them all from A to Z.

He also gets named honorary captain with a ship of his own! I think it is magical to be IN the story and such a fun way to learn to spell his own name.

This hardcover book is very high quality and the paper  is beautiful ($32.95 value). I love the hand-painted illustrations and I think it is a wonderful keepsake to be cherished for many years!

Here is a wonderful video that shows a little more detail of the book and the story we received:
