My parents live in Calgary and we have visited the Calgary Zoo many times. It is such a fun place for the entire family, our preschooler loves going to the Zoo and seeing all of his favourite wild animals there. So many learning opportunities!  Very exciting to see him asking questions and his surprise and responses when walking around the zoo, many magical and special moments.

If you haven’t had the chance to visit Calgary yet then I recommend you do. The city hosts family fun, and educational experiences alike that will keep both parents and kids active and entertained

Yes, I drive to Calgary fairly often – I have a daughter who lives there and now 2 grandchildren. The zoo is great and is worthy of a day out and kids love it there.

I’m one of the people who hate zoos because I believe animals belong in the wild but I’m also not naive so I know that in some cases they’re better off in zoos. I only wish that for every animal to have a large enclosure that resembles the wild but also doesn’t make them feel trapped. This is my dream for animals in captivity !
