If you follow my blog then you probably already know that we don’t eat a lot of pre-packaged foods around here. We purchase organic ingredients and avoid artificial sweeteners and additives by cooking most of our meals from scratch.
We really care about the ingredients of the food we make at home and I am constantly looking for healthy organic alternatives to regular store bought baby food and toddler snacks to share with my readers.
Enter NurturMe. This company offers certified-organic dry meal pouches made in the USA with fruits, veggies and quinoa for infants and healthy and delicious bite-sized organic dried fruit and veggie snacks for toddlers.
Their organic dry meal pouches contain a range of delicious organic fruit and vegetables that are healthy and rich in nutrients. Just mix the dry meal pouches with breast milk, formula or water and they are ready. I love that you can actually use breast milk if you wish to maximize nutrition.
With yummy flavours like Crisp Apples, Crunchy Carrots, Hearty Sweet Potatoes, Plump Pea, Scrumptious Squash, Sweet Bananas and now pure Quinoa there is a flavour for everyone including picky little eaters. I love that they offer quinoa cereal as an alternative to regular rice cereal!
We received a sampler of their dry meals pouches and toddler snacks to try. I ended up mixing up their dry meal pouches in my son’s soups and in pasta sauce and he loved them, he thought they were delicious. I love that you can also mix them in yogurts or smoothies to add extra nutrients (a great banana smoothie recipe below).
NurturMe also offers Yum-a-Roo’s organic dry toddler snacks that are made from bite-sized pieces of fruits and veggies that easily dissolve in the mouth. They are perfect for children 1 year and older and they have 1.5 servings of fruits and/or veggies in every pouch.
Yum-a-Roo’s are currently available in two flavors Tropical Twist (Banana, Mango and Pineapple) and Caribbean Crop (Pea, Banana and Pineapple) and they are certified organic, gluten-free, non-GMO and kosher, with no added preservatives, sugars or salts.
We received a couple of packs of both flavours and I must say we were both big fans of these yummy snacks. They dissolve in your mouth and they have a sweet, delicious taste without having any sugars or salts!
He clearly enjoys the taste of NurturMe foods and I love the fact that he is eating healthy, organic and nutritious food. NurturMe products are available for purchase nationwide online, as well as in select Whole Foods, Kroger family and Babies R Us stores across the country.
