Mountain Buggy: Nano Travel Stroller {Review}

nano

Looking for the perfect travel stroller? We had the opportunity to try the nano Mountain Buggy stroller for a few weeks and we took it with us on our most recent family trip to Toronto. The nano is the ultimate travel stroller, it is convenient, easy to use, super lightweight, portable and durable. Here are some reason why we think the nano is one of the best travel strollers available in the market!

Lightweight:

Air travel with two children under five means carrying a lot of things with you. We traveled from Vancouver to Toronto for a week and ended up bringing both of our children’s car seats with us. Our 4 year old’s car seat is huge and our infant’s car seat is heavy, add one piece of luggage for each of us and you can imagine how we looked like. Packing a lightweight stroller was a must!  The nano stroller weights less than 13lbs and measures just 22 x 12.2 x 20″ when folded, easily fitting into carry on luggage units for planes, the back of the car and more!

Travel System Ready:

One thing that I love about the nano is the fact that the stroller is equipped with an on-board car seat adapter. The nano stroller easily converts to a travel system and it accomodates most leading car seat brands. We had a seat on the plane for our 9 month old and we decided to bring his car seat on board, the nano made it easy to move around the airport with him in his car seat and on the stroller and we then folded it when we boarded.  The car seat was used during the flight and the stroller was folded and put away into the overhead bin of the plane. Easy and convenient!

Easy to fold and unfold:

The nano is super easy to fold, I love that you simply press 2 buttons and the stroller drops in 2 stages. I also really like the custom-fit travel bag that comes with it because it has a carry handle opening that allows for the handle to pop out and makes it easy to carry it around, it looks like a small travel satchel. Once you arrive at your destination unfolding is easy as well, just flick the nano open with one hand! No time wasted.

Smooth and comfortable ride:

The nano stroller features inbuilt rear wheel suspension that allows it to absorb bumps on the road, keeping little ones comfortable while they ride. It is also easy to manoeuvre and very smooth to push. The front wheels can be locked straight or swivel and the easy push pedal brake has clearly marked colours to show you if you are safely parked or not.

The nano offers a comfortable full-sized seat that can be used for kids up to 4 years of age and a multi-height padded safety harness. It also has a two position seat recline that’s perfect for nap time.  The stroller also features an adjustable leg rest, a large sun canopy and ventilation panel on the seat.

The nano travel stroller is not a flimsy umbrella stroller. Looking for lightweight strollers parents usually have to compromise and pick a flimsy stroller that is small enough, not anymore with the nano. You can get a very compact stroller that fits into the overhead bin of most airplanes and that is made to last and is very comfortable for your child. I also really love the fact that it reclines. When you are traveling nap time happens while your are waiting, walking around at the airport etc, so having that feature is a big plus.

We absolutely love the nano and we won’t be traveling again without it. The nano is a must have if you are traveling with young children!

    Great review! I think the rear wheel suspension is so tempting! I hate bumping roads myself so I think my little one would appreciate a smooth ride too!

    I think Mountain buggy makes the best stroller out there and I love how portable this stroller is. Perfect as a travelling stroller or even one just for the back of the car when you need it. It looks great too
