Love Child Organics: Canadian-Made, Organic Baby and Toddler Food Review

Love Child Organics Baby Food

I cook almost all of my son’s food from scratch. I purchase organic, nutritious ingredients and I avoid artificial sweeteners and additives. I care about what I make for him and what he eats every day so reading labels and looking for fresh, organic ingredients when purchasing food for him is routine around here.

We don’t eat a lot of packaged foods but finding healthy, nutritious and organic snacks and food that’s ready to go is important. For those days when you need to grab something healthy on the go knowing what to get is key.

Enter Love Child Organics. Created by a couple from Whistler, this company offers a Canadian-made, all organic and nutritious line of baby and toddler foods. Their food has no artificial sweeteners and every product contains a superfood, like quinoa!

Their products contain a range of delicious fruit and vegetable purees (ideal for babies 6 months and up and toddlers/pre-schoolers).  Available in BPA-free squeezable packs they are super convenient to carry around and can be closed and used again later.

Something that I was thrilled to hear was that their purees include quinoa, the amazing gluten free supergrain rich in amino acids, and also acerola fruit, a natural source of Vitamin C.  I love the high nutritional value!

Right now Love Child Organics offers the following flavors:

  • Strawberries, peaches and bananas
  • Mangoes and apples
  • Blueberries, apples and bananas
  • Butternut squash, corn and apples
  • Kale, peas and pears
  • Sweet potatoes, carrots, apples and blueberries

Love Child Organics

We received a couple of pouches to try and I left the taste testing challenge to my 2 1/2 year old.  He tried the “blueberries, apples and bananas (with quinoa!)” for snack and he finished the pouch in a few minutes, turned around and asked for more. He enjoyed the “mangoes and apples” flavour as well and had some of their “sweet potatoes, carrots, apples and blueberries” as part of his lunch when we were out for the day last week.

He clearly enjoyed the taste of the food and I love the fact that he is eating a healthy, organic and nutritious food. Love Child Organic products are also available at Walmart and that makes them accessible and easy to find.  Be sure to look for them on your next shopping trip!

Hello, OSM. I have never heard of this Canadian company and am very happy to hear that the ingredients are Canadian made. I did not know they were available at Walmart. Great that they are easy to find and so healthy. Definitely a better choice than so many other baby/toddler foods out on the market in large chain stores. Thank you, One Smiley Monkey.

Thanks Angela! I’m going to pick some up, perfect for when I look after my granddaughter. My daughter makes all of her own baby food, too, but I don’t always have the time, so this sounds like a great alternative! 🙂

Saw these guys on Dragon’s Den the other day, they are officially the most successful investment on the show in it’s 8 seasons. Also, they are moving into Walmart across the U.S. Really awesome to hear a good product reach success!
