The boys are going back to school this week, and we received a shipment of DK Canada books just in time.

Our youngest starts full-day kindergarten this year and the “How to Be a Big Kid” book has been perfect to help introduce some topics to help him prepare for all the changes.  We love all the cute illustrations and step by step instructions that are easy to read and explain. Super-handy book!

Both my children love asking questions, and they are curious about everything. They want to know the how, where and why all the time. Enter the “DK Children’s Encyclopedia”. This book has kept our almost 8-year-old entertained for hours. The book is packed with essential facts on a multitude of subjects, including technology, nature, history, space, science, animals and more. The book is also filled with beautiful illustrations and photography to make it fun and easy to absorb.

Our eldest is starting grade 3 this September, and they do a lot of spelling work at school. The “Spell Check Canadian Edition” book is going to be very handy and useful for him. The book has keyword lists and tricky word lists that are helpful when practising and for extra home support. Great way to learn useful Canadian spelling rules as well.

If your children are learning French, an illustrated dictionary is always a must-have. The “First French Dictionary” is a wonderful first reference book for little ones.  It contains over 2,000 words and definitions, and it is filled with beautiful and colourful images and photographs.  Super easy to navigate as well.
