Perplexus

Last month I had the chance to check out some of the Top Ten 2012 Gold Start Award Winner toys of the Neighborhood Toy Stores of Canada (NETS), including the Perplexus Twist Puzzle Game.

The NETS annual Gold Star Award products are toys that are tested by real kids and parents, and they have been described as ‘a great find’ and ‘the perfect fit’. These toys and games earn recognition based on their ‘exceptional’ play value, durability and safety. They are the toys and games that kids continue to play with long after they are ‘new’.

The Perplexus Twist is a three-dimensional puzzle game that helps develop eye-hand coordination skills, dexterity and spatial reasoning.  The maze is encased in a 7.5 inch sphere (transparent) that features a small marble that moves along cool tracks and obstacles. It is a sturdy toy and it is super easy to store.

Designed for ages 6+ this fun brain puzzle is super challenging and keeps you happily entertained. By twisting, turning and realigning the tracks you can escape traps, dead ends and cliffs. I love how alert you have to be to avoid the traps.

We really love the fact that is tactile toy that keeps you focused, it is a lot better than video games.  The game doesn’t need to be plugged in or requires batteries and we like that as well.

If you are looking for a toy that will give your brain a work-out then be sure to purchase the Perplexus Twist, it will keep you practicing and you won’t be able to put it down for hours.  A fun game to play with the entire family.
