OZ naturals

I’m 33 years old, I love the sun and make expressive facial gestures when I talk. I’m getting wrinkles and I don’t really like it. Last year I started taking control of my skin care by moisturizing daily. And while I feel my moisturizer has been keeping my face adequately soft, there’s more I can be doing to repair damage and improve tone. I was asked to try three products from Oz Naturals that boost the effectiveness of my daily moisturizer while nourishing my skin’s cells deep below the surface. And they do so with all natural ingredients that are 100% vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, mineral oil-free, lanolin-free, gluten-free, and GMO-free.

Since I have been sleep-deprived for the past three years and have historically taken terrible care of my skin, these products were definitely put to the test on me. After one week of use, I could see noticeable improvement. My skin feels firmer (not just soft to the touch, but less saggy), the dark circles under my eyes are a little lighter, and the overall appearance of my skin is brighter. Here are the three products I have been using and why I like them:

Oz Naturals

Oz Naturals has created a 20% Vitamin C + Amino + Hyaluronic Acid Serum that blends potent antioxidants with an amino blend that promotes blood circulation to the surface of the skin. This formula strengthens capillary walls and nourishes cells under the surface of the skin to reduce dullness and increase radiance. It has a very pleasant smell and spreads easily, so a little goes a long way. The instructions on the bottle say to begin with a washed, exfoliated and toned face then apply a small amount of this serum to the entire face and neck. Let it sit for a minute to dry thoroughly before applying anything else to your face.

Reading the words “acid” and “Vitamin C” on the bottle, I anticipated feeling a tingling or burning sensation after applying it to my skin. But too my delight, I felt neither. In the FAQ page of oznaturals.com, the company explains, “The tingling feeling doesn’t necessarily come from the Vitamin C…nor does a tingling feeling mean the vitamin c is more potent. Our vitamin c serum is mixed with the most effective ingredients on the market; We choose to use an aloe base instead of water, and never add any alcohol to our products (as most competitors use), and this is why our vitamin c goes on so smoothly, yet penetrates deep into your dermis to provide maximum benefits, without stinging or tingling your skin.”

The second product I received is similar but not identical, called Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin C serum that deeply hydrates and plumps the skin to reduce wrinkles. In addition to the Hyaluronic acid (a super hydrating naturally occurring acid botanically derived from Cassia Angustifolia seed) and Vitamin C, it contains nourishing ingredients like aloe, green tea and Vitamin E to repair and soften skin cells. After the 20% Vitamin C serum has dried, apply dabs of this product to the driest, wrinkle-prone areas of your face (like the forehead or around the mouth). This serum smells amazing because it’s scented with geranium essential oil. It also has a distinctly aloe-y consistency when spread on the face; very light and yet slightly viscous or sticky. That sticky sensation dissipates after a minute or two of drying. Thereafter, the skin feels ready for moisturizer.

In addition to applying a daily moisturizer to the entire neck and face, I have been using the Oz Naturals Super Youth Eye Gel  a powerhouse of naturally potent ingredients including plant stem cells to reduce puffiness, fine lines and dark circles. Like I say, because of the continual sleep-deprivation of parenting two babies, I have grade-A raccoon eyes. I use concealer to cover them, but I’d rather just eliminate them. While the circles aren’t completely gone, I can report that after a week of using this product, they are reduced enough that my mother noticed. In a Facetime chat the other day, she asked if I had gotten a nap because I looked well-rested. Ha! I definitely didn’t get a nap, so it must be the eye gel working.

Prior to this review, I hadn’t heard of Oz Naturals, but I’m really glad I know about them now. In addition to being made of high quality natural ingredients and free of the nasty junk like parabens and GMOs, the products are made in the USA and available to purchase directly from the oznaturals.com website or through Amazon.
