Disney Junior: December Programming Highlights & More!

Disney Junior

Can you believe December is finally here? It is time to get in the spirit of the holidays and to celebrate this wonderful month with our family and loved ones.

We started the holiday preparations very early by putting our tree up last month. We usually wait until December but knowing that baby #2’s due date is in early December (any minute now!)  I had to get the the tree done before his arrival.

This year was the first year that I had a little helper that was very eager to help and that was actually a big help decorating. In the past he was known for taking the decorations down immediately after they were set up and using them as toys but he now understands how decorating works! It was a lot of fun to see how excited he was and he loved the tree once we were done.

We are now all set and I am really looking forward to spending the holidays with our growing family and our new little bundle of joy!

Pretty Christmas tree

Disney Junior will be also filled with excitement this holiday season, they will feature new holiday-themed episodes, fun movies and specials. Be sure to check out the holiday schedule here for more details:  HERE

Sofia the First: The Floating Palace Sunday December 8th at 5pm ET

And for all little Sofia the First fans don’t miss the special presentation of “Sofia the First: The Floating Palace”. at a special time.  With an appearance by Princess Ariel (voiced by Jodi Benson, The Little Mermaid). In this special episode Ariel swims by to help Sofia on an underwater adventure to save her new mermaid friend, Oona. Sounds like such a fun show!

Additionally the new episodes of Sofia the First this month will air on Sunday December 8th at 5PM and Sunday December 15th at 11:30AM.

Disney Junior will also be airing the movie “The Little Mermaid 2” on Friday January 3rd at 10AM ET

We watched “The Little Mermaid” movie not long ago so I am excited to watch part 2 with my little one. We usually prepare for a fun movie with some movie themed snacks and this time I am getting some fishy crackers and cutting some fruit into some underwater related shapes. Super easy and he loves when we do that. He is very excited to watch this movie and we can’t wait!

Many exciting shows to look forward to this month! Stay tuned for more Disney Junior news and join the conversation by liking their Facebook page and following them on Twitter.
