DK Series: Pirates, Ancient Egypt, Stone Age, Sharks

I am excited to introduce you to the new educational book series from the creators of www.dkfindout.com, a free website for kids to have fun with information and to expand their knowledge. The new DK findout! series available on January 10th features books filled with amazing images, incredible quizzes, and cutting-edge information for kids. There are many interesting facts and great pictures in each book.

We received a couple of books from the DK findout! series and our 6-year-old son loves them. They are perfect for him because they are educational, easy to read and they have lots of images to capture his attention. He is very interested in learning about Ancient Egypt and the Stone Age, and he loves anything to do with Pirates and Sharks, so the four books we received were perfect for him.

He loves these so much that I have to take them out of his room at nighttime, as he often grabs them and a flashlight to read at night when he is supposed to be sleeping!

You can find more information about the books below. They are all under $15 and would make a great present for a curious little reader.

DK findout! Pirates:

DK findout! Pirates takes you on board a pirate ship and shows you what they ate, the rules they followed, and the treasure they searched for. Learn what offense would make someone walk the plank, see what it took to become a pirate, pick up a few vocabulary terms to talk like a pirate all day, and so much more.

Filled with colorful images and quirky facts, DK findout! Pirates is engaging and educational. Pull out the special cover flaps to see extra information about pirates, study a chart of captains’ hats, and take a quiz on everything included in the book.

DK findout! Ancient Egypt:

Travel back in time to the ancient world and become an expert with DK findout! Ancient Egypt. Learn how the Egyptians built the pyramids, using math and technology that still exists today. Walk in the Valley of Kings, a sacred place by the Nile where the kings and nobles were buried, and learn about the Egyptian gods. You will discover everything you want to know about mummies, pharaohs, the Nile, and more.

Filled with colorful images and quirky facts, DK findout! Ancient Egypt is engaging and educational. Pull out the special cover flaps to see extra information, follow the timeline of Ancient Egypt, and take a quiz on everything covered in the book.

DK findout! Sharks:

Travel back in time to see gigantic prehistoric sharks, learn how to identify different sharks, and find out which shark comes out on top in the Shark Olympics.

From bullhead to cow to carpet sharks, DK findout! Sharks explores everything there is to know about sharks. See a shark’s skeleton, figure out exactly what electroreception is, match the eggs to the type of shark, and take a bite out of the different diets of sharks. Compare different ocean habitats, body sizes, tails, senses, and more. Memorize the different classifications of sharks, including ground sharks, dogfish, angel sharks, and more.

DK findout! Stone Age:

Travel back in time and see what life was like with DK findout! Stone Age. Meet a Stone Age human and see what they wore, sample some of their favorite foods, find out what Stone Age kids did for fun, and so much more. With DK findout! Stone Age, you will be a prehistoric expert in no time.

Filled with colorful images and quirky facts, DK findout! Stone Age is engaging and educational. Pull out the cover flaps to see extra information, follow the timeline of the Stone Age, and take a quiz on everything covered in the book.
