IndieFlix: Watch Great Indie Films and Help Prevent Bullying {Giveaway}

Indieflix

My husband and I are big fans of Indie films so I was extremely excited when I was introduced to IndieFlix. IndieFlix is a community of independent filmmakers and fans. Through its membership-based streaming service, IndieFlix helps filmmakers translate artistic vision into commercial success. It also gives film lovers access to high quality independent films not otherwise available.

IndieFlix’s mission is to champion filmmakers, rethink traditional approaches to distribution, and celebrate the artistry and impact of independent film.

I was given a free three month membership to try out their service and I love the variety of content that is available.  An IndieFlix subscription allows you to watch thousands of independently made films online. You can search new films by categories including genre, length, most-viewed, film festival, or country.

We love being able to watch the works of creative minds from all over the world all in one place, with a simple click!

findingkind

This month beginning on May 10th the documentary “Finding Kind” is available on IndieFlix. In February 2009, two young women, Lauren Parsekian and Molly Thompson joined forces having both been affected by female bullying throughout their youth and decided to create change by giving females a platform to speak out about this universal experience. What began as an idea for a documentary about girl-against-girl bullying, ultimately became the Kind Campaign, an internationally recognized movement, documentary, and school assembly program based on the powerful belief in KINDness that brings awareness and healing to the negative and lasting effects of girl-against-girl “crime.”

I am excited to watch the documentary and to learn more about their Kind Campaign. Our world really needs more kindness!

Win it: 10 lucky readers US/CAN will get a chance to try out IndieFlix for free for 2 months. Enter to win a 2 month subscription to their service now. You can even use your Facebook account to open up an IndieFlix account, so easy!

Disclosure: I received a free sample of a product/service to facilitate this post. All views and opinions stated on this post are 100% my own.

    I think it would be cool to see less advertised films that would be just as good as the “big” movies plus it would help get the director & producer some exposure of their talent..thanks.

    I think it would be fun to watch the movies since they are different from ones I would see in the cinema, I like to watch independent movies once in awhile since some of them have some really good storylines.

    I tend to like quirky independent films better than the big blockbusters with huge action scenes but typically no substance (IMO)

    How good is this compared to Sundance Channel? How about documentaries old and new? Thanks for the contest…

      I would say that the first big difference is that you can actually pick what to watch next instead of following a programming schedule. IndieFlix has lots of short clips to watch and “categories” for you to browse and chose depending on your mood.
      Just a more personalized viewing experience.
