TomTom has the perfect gift for the sports loving person in your holiday gift giving list! The TomTom Multi-Sport Cardio watch is perfect to see real time running, cycling and swimming inforation at a glance, while keeping track of your heart rate, cadence, speed, distance and of course GPS. The Multi-Sport watch would make a wonderful gift to help motive and improve their workouts.

I received one to try and I have been using it every-time I go for runs or workouts. This is the first time I own a GPS watch and I really like being able to log into my computer after syncing and seeing where I have been in a map, it really gives me better idea of what I am doing, plus I can really see the intensity of my work-outs, distance, hear rate info, all in one place.

The battery life is pretty good as I can use it as a regular watch and go for a few runs before I have to charge it. To charge it I just connect the watch to the dock and to the USB port in my Mac and it charges pretty fast. I downloaded the “Mysports” application and I sync it to MapMyFitness as well.

The Multi-Sport watch is also very easy to navigate, you can access all the menus and info you need with the one-bottom control. See a video showing how it works below:

I use for running most of the time and for swimming some times. I haven’t used it while biking but you can actually mount it to the bike as well if you wish, the mount comes with the watch.

I really like the large display and large numbers that allow you to have a quick glance at your stats while you are running. No need to stop or slow down! You can also set up vibration alerts to get milestone, lap and interval alerts. The watch itself is not small, I am used to and love wearing large watches so I have no problem with it but have that in mind if you are not used to the larger watches.

One thing I really like about the watch is that there is no need to wear a chest strap to get your heart rate information because the watch has a heart rate reading device integrated in the back, I totally love the freedom! I used to have an old watch with the strap and it was so uncomfortable!

Overall, the TomTom Multi-Sport Cardio Watch is very comfortable, it tracks key information from your activity and it is pretty cool looking. TomTom also offers Cardio Comfort straps in different colours so you can switch it up for fun, those are available on their site here.
