Back to School

I am thrilled to have been invited to participate in the second edition of the Frugal Heroes Challenge by Walmart, this time with a  Back to School challenge.

Just like last time I was given a $100 Walmart gift card and a frugal challenge to participate.  I went to my local Walmart and I was on a mission to get back to school clothes for my 3-year-old for under $100. StrongStart is beginning on the second week of September and it was the perfect chance to get all the new clothes he needed for his return to school.

When we went shopping I noticed a good selection of Back to School products all at great prices, including supplies, notebooks, planners, school backpacks, clothing and more. For StrongStart he doesn’t really need any supplies so we just got new clothes.  He ended up choosing SpiderMan, Pirates and Batman tees. Yes, he is really into pirates and super heroes at the moment, very fitting for the Frugal Heroes challenge!

Here are some photos of what we ended up buying, including a cool fridge calendar I picked up to help me organize once StrongStart is back on and I have to schedule his toddler classes, playdates, appointments etc. Very helpful!

At the end I couldn’t believe I managed to get everything we needed for only $84.31, seriously we still have money left in the card. Once again you can’t beat Walmart’s prices.
