As a busy mom of two teens, my days usually involve a lot of running around. Between school drop-offs, activities, errands, my travel advisor work, and the occasional coffee date with a friend, I’m always looking for shoes that are comfortable first and foremost, but that still make me look like I put a little effort into getting dressed.
So when I received a pair of Tieks black ballet flats to try out, I was really excited to see if they would live up to the hype. I’ve heard about Tieks for years, and now that I’ve been wearing them myself, I totally understand why people love them.
The first thing I noticed when my Tieks arrived was the packaging. They come in a beautiful signature blue box with a little flower on top, which already makes the whole experience feel special. Inside the box, along with the shoes, there are two really thoughtful extras: a compact shoe pouch and a foldable tote bag.
The pouch is designed so the flats can fold in half and fit neatly inside, making them small enough to toss into your purse or bag. The tote bag is meant for the opposite situation, when you’re wearing heels and want to switch into your Tieks for comfort. You can pop your heels into the tote and carry them easily. I love that the brand clearly designed these with real, busy women in mind, but also with comfort in mind!
Comfort is always my number one priority with shoes, especially because I’m on my feet a lot. These flats are made from soft, premium leather that molds to your feet as you wear them, which makes them feel incredibly comfortable and flexible. They also have cushioned leather insoles with foam padding, which gives them a little extra softness underfoot compared to typical ballet flats.
What I personally love is that they feel supportive without feeling stiff. The split-sole design allows the shoes to flex with your foot when you walk, so they move naturally instead of feeling rigid.
And another small but important detail: the back of the shoe is cushioned instead of elasticized, so it doesn’t dig into your heel (which has happened to me with so many flats in the past).
You can really tell these are well-made as well. Each pair is handcrafted from high-quality leather and goes through many steps during production to ensure quality and durability. The soles also have non-skid rubber patches for traction, which is great for everyday wear when you’re constantly on the move. Even after wearing them around for errands, school pickup, and everyday life, they still look polished and hold their shape beautifully.
I chose the classic black pair because they truly go with everything. I can wear them with jeans and a sweater for a casual day, or with a dress if I want to look a little more put together.
That’s really what I love most about them, they’re simple, classic, and versatile. On those busy days when I’m rushing out the door, they instantly make me look a bit more polished without sacrificing comfort.
If you’re someone who is always on the go like I am, a good pair of flats is essential. After wearing my Tieks for a while now, I can honestly say they’ve become one of my go-to pairs of shoes.
They’re comfortable, high-quality, easy to pack, and versatile enough to wear with almost anything. For busy moms, travellers, or anyone who wants a comfortable shoe that still looks stylish, they’re definitely worth checking out.
I’ve been loving my black Tieks, and I have a feeling they’ll be in heavy rotation for a long time.

Congrats on your Matte Black Tieks, they look great on you. We both love Tieks for the same reasons, stylish, comfy and cute. They can be dressed up or down. I started wearing Tieks in 2018 and have a nice collection with many different colors. I hope your collection grows too. Thank you for sharing your review.
Thank you! They truly are the perfet shoe to dress up or down 🙂
Hello, I first heard about this from a friend in India who mentioned it during a casual chat. Later I decided to open http://stake-india-in.com/ and see it for myself. I liked how everything was structured clearly. I didn’t feel confused at any point, and I could just browse without needing extra time to understand things.
