Sharing Tablet Love Before the Holidays with The HP Slate 7 {Holiday Gift Idea}

HP Slate 7 Tablet

When I was contacted by HP with an opportunity to gift an HP Slate 7 tablet to a family or friend as a “pre-holiday” gift I jumped at the chance. The second I read the e-mail I knew that I was going to gift the tablet to my Dad.

I definitively inherited the love for gadgets and technology from my Dad. He is a computer engineer and I remember the sight of a desktop computer on his desk since I was a little girl, back when having a personal computer hooked to the internet at home was rare.   At 55 years-old he appreciates the ever changing technology and I knew he would love a chance to try the HP Slate 7.

The HP Slate 7 is an affordable and easy-to-use Android tablet that allows you  to keep your photos, documents, games, music and apps all in one place.  It is also an easy to carry 7-inch diagonal tablet that’s practical and helps simplify daily life.

My parents live in a difference city from us and it was a total surprise when my Dad received the tablet in the mail. As expected he totally loved it and was excited to immediately start using it. A feature that both my parents love is that they can Skype with us via the tablet  which enables them to have pretty hilarious live video conversations with our 3-year-old son.

Something else my Dad loves about his new tablet is the fact that he can print photos wirelessly. We send so many photos from our son by e-mail that is nice for him to easily print the ones they want to add to their albums, display at home or just save.

The HP Slate 7 also allows my Dad to check his e-mail, sync his calendars, contacts, use google maps, browse the internet using Chrome Browser, watch YouTube videos, play his favourite music, movies and more!

Thanks so much to HP for allowing me the chance to gift my Dad with the HP Slate 7. He is really enjoying using his new tablet and I love the fact that he has a wonderful tablet that allows us to keep in touch more often, specially with our little guy!

You can purchase your own HP Slate 7 tablet online HERE for only $149.99 CDN!

    We don’t own a tablet…yet. But just being able to use it to Sype with loved ones is a huge selling feature for me. All of my husband’s family lives all the way across the country from us. Thanks for sharing!

    I like the sound of this, being easy to use is a big plus as I’m not really into all these million things phones/tablets can do these days. I love the fact that one can Skype using it too a huge plus for me with family scattered around the world.

    This looks like a great little tablet. I’ve been trying to figure out what to get my Father for Christmas, and this might be perfect for him. He has grandchildren all over that he doesn’t see often, and this will help him stay connected! Thanks for the review!
