We recently had the chance to check out some of the Top Ten 2012 Gold Start Award Winner toys of the Neighbourhood Toy Stores of Canada (NETS), including Slap SHOTZ.
The NETS annual Gold Star Award products are toys that are tested by real kids and parents, and they have been described as ‘a great find’ and ‘the perfect fit’. These toys and games earn recognition based on their ‘exceptional’ play value, durability and safety. They are the toys and games that kids continue to play with long after they are ‘new’.
Slap SHOTZ are curvable wrist shooters that help develop real hockey skills during play. They are designed to help young hockey players improve hand/eye coordination, stick handling and other hockey skills.
What’s great about Slap SHOTZ is that they are designed to be used indoors and they include a non-marking soft foam ball. Little ones and adults can now play knee hockey indoors or outdoors and enjoy a classic Canadian game.
Slap SHOTZ are made in Canada and they are made of 50% recycled milk sampling bottles. I love that they don’t have any PVC, BPA or Phthalates to worry about.
We had a great time trying out Slap SHOTZ and I had fun playing a few games with my 2-year-old. The ball is super gentle and I love being able to play knee hockey with him in the comfort of our living room. You can play while sitting too and that’s perfect with younger children.
Slap SHOTZ come in three colors (blue, black or red), they are recommend for ages 3+ and they retail for $19.99. These cool and affordable wrist shooters would make the perfect gift for every hockey fan.
