When I received the opportunity to review L’dara’s serum, I was keen to receive the product and try it out. I love skincare products and I’m always keen to try new ones – especially serums.

In the Box

The serum comes in a 1 FL.OZ/30 ML silver container with a pump mechanism at the top. Each pump delivers one of two pumps recommended for each application.

Features of the Serum

This product is a U.S. patent-pending product made from the goji berry. It is designed to be used by all skin types, is dermatologist tested, proven in a clinic, hypoallergenic and is free of parabens, phtalates and sulfates. It is designed to restore, rejuvenate, nourish, brighten and renew your skin.

My Experience

Serums are meant to be used under a moisturizer. While they nourish your skin, they are not meant to replace your moisturizer. I expected that the serum should have some kind of positive effect on my skin and I have heard positive feedback about the goji berry. Although I’ve heard about goji berries more as something that you eat rather than using it on your skin.

From the first time that I used the serum, and in the early days following my routine, I started to notice a difference. The serum is not liquid in texture but feels more like a light gel. It spreads easily and makes your skin feel moist and comfortable. Within a week I started to notice that my skin’s texture looked exfoliated. The subtle, scaly look that your skin can take on seemed to have disappeared. Over time I also felt that my pores on my nose reduced in size. I wondered if this effect on my pores might have a positive impact on hormonal acne that typically plagues women (myself included). My skin also feels smoother. Brightness is, perhaps, a harder change to measure.

The overall result is that I look forward to using this product twice a day. As per the instructions, I use it on my face, neck and on the top of my hands.

Would I Use This Product Again?

I would be keen to continue using this product as part of my daily skincare routine – both morning and night. The changes to my skin were noticeable and I can feel that my skin looks and feels better as I’m using the product.

I’ve heard about products that help your eye lashes to grow longer and wasn’t sure what to expect from this product. I received two versions of it. One is designed just for the eyebrow and the other is for both the eyelash and eyebrow.

In the Box

The product comes in a sleek silver tube with a fine brush that pulls out of a tightly fit opening.

The eyebrow and eyelash serum includes Hexatein 1 complex made of potent peptides, biotin, panthenol, amino acids, sobyean oil and pumpkin seed extract. The product is not tested on animals and is paraben and fragrance free. It is also opthalmologist and dermatologist tested and is safe for contact lens wearers.

The eyebrow enhancing serum product has Hexatein 2 complex. It contains peptides, biotin, panthenol, keratin, apple fruit cell and sweet almond extracts. This product will promote changes in 60 days.

My Experience

After seeing so many commercials and print ads, my first thought was that I could somehow document any changes to my eye brows and eye lashes. Of course this proved to be harder than I imagined as I couldn’t get a clear image of my face! What I can report is that I could see a tangible difference in my eye brows. I know this, for certain, because I do use an eye brow pencil and have a good feel for how my eye brows grow. I did notice that my eye lashes felt smoother. I have a common condition that makes the base of my eye lashes dry. Smoother, softer eye lashes will have an effect on how your mascara goes on.

It was harder for me to measure the effect of the product on the length of my eye lashes. The brow and eyelash product is supposed to support changes in four weeks.

Would I Buy This Product Again?

I like the idea of a product that enhances your eyebrows and eyelashes. I feel that my eye lashes are long enough but eye brows are never thick enough. For that reason, I would consider buying the eyebrow enhancing serum. This is an easy product to incorporate into your daily routine.
