No butter, banana chocolate chip muffins recipe

The boys and I made some delicious muffins this weekend and I knew I had to share the recipe here. These muffins have NO butter and taste amazing! Full recipe below friends, enjoy!

No Butter Banana - Chocolate Chip Muffins Recipe

Yield: 12 large muffins

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

2-3 large ripe bananas
1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 egg
1 1/2 cups all-purpose-flour
3/4 cup of brown sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:

* Pre-heat oven (375 degrees)
* Mash bananas in a bowl
* Add sugar and egg to banana bowl
* Add applesauce
* Add all the dry ingredients
* Mix in chocolate chips
* Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 375 degrees
* Once 20 are over insert a toothpick into the center of a muffin to test it. If it comes out clean, or with only a few moist crumbs attached to it, the muffins are done.

    these are perfect! just the thing I should make for my daughter. she is a picky eater but loves anything bananas. I can definitely see her eating these but have never thought to try them with her before

    My son and I bake together so I let him dump applesauce and the chips and stir it a bit! So fun. Always good to replace any oil/butter with applesauce!!

    My family love chocolate chip muffins and I love that your recipe has no butter. I have used applesauce before and it is really good. I know I will make lots and lots of these muffins.
