Celebrating Earth Day with DK Canada Books

Are you celebrating Earth Day on April 22nd? You can demonstrate how much you care about the future of our planet by doing something small like planting a tree, talking about our amazing planet with your children, cleaning up trash in your neighborhood, etc. So many ways to get involved!

We received a selection of Earth-themed books from DK Canada just in time to celebrate. Teaching our boys about our planet and what we can do to help take care of it is fun with this great selection of educational books. Check out our favourites below.

  1. For Earth Day, we will spend the day at a local petting zoo.

  2. We are spending Earth Day at Science World. What better way to celebrate by learning.

  3. We will be visiting a loca nature reserve and hike along the wetlands.l

  4. We love to pick up garbage in our neighbourhood!

  5. We don’t usually do anything special but I did hear that we’ll be going around the lake collecting garbage now that our snow is slowly disappearing at long last.

  6. We celebrate Earth Day by heading out and enjoying what nature has to offer!

  8. My family does a spring cleanup in our neighbourhood every year. It’s amazing what accumulates over the winter.

  9. We participate in our local shoreline cleanup.

  10. We will spend time on local clean up and exploring our environment.

  11. I spent some time outdoors(at zero) cleaning up some flower beds and pitying my crocuses.

  12. I will unplug all unused electronics and ensure lights and devices are always turned off when not in use!

  13. We will be going to Science Centre on Earth Day

  14. we usually go to a nice quiet place and have a picnic enjoy the day outside together

  15. we are signed up to do a community clean up

  16. We’re going to help plant trees at the local park

  17. We’ll be spending the day outside – a picnic and a hike!

  18. We were going to celebrate Earth Day by raking and getting our yard ready for planting but it snowed! We’ll likely watch National Geographic and Friendly Planet videos instead now.
