I often have a hard time getting my boys to eat their veggies. Broccoli, cauliflower and carrots are usually pushed aside and left on their dinner plates. So frustrating!
When you live in a house with little picky eaters for long enough you get creative, and that’s why I have perfected a few recipes that are an absolute hit with them and that get them to actually eat those veggies without complaints.
Enter my Easy and Delicious Broccoli Macaroni and Cheese Recipe.
This recipe is so delicious, they never complain about the added broccoli and actually ask for seconds.
I like to use Catelli Smart Veggie Macaroni because I love how nutritious it is. This delicious white pasta provides an extra 1/2 serving of vegetables, it is high in fibre and made with 100% Canadian wheat. A win, win for us!
The boys enjoy helping in the kitchen when I am making dinner. I like showing them what we are making and chatting about the ingredients we are using. Talking about the vegetables we are eating, why they are good for you and how to make our meal more nutritious has made a difference when it comes to what they want to eat.
