Back to School Healthy Lunch

As little ones go back to school this season parents everywhere have something on their minds. What should they pack their child for lunch?   How should they pack it?

I am not packing lunches for school for my son yet but I do pack his lunches a few times a week for when we are out of the house. That means I am constantly having to use containers to carry everything we need.

Focusing on healthy eating and minimizing waste, I am excited to introduce you to a new product from Pottery Barn Kids – the Spencer Stainless Steel Bento Box.

The Spencer Bento Box is the perfect lunch container. There is lots of space to pack a full lunch and the multiple individual compartments are great for variety and to ensure the food stays where it should be. It also makes it easy  to get creative and fill each section with something fun and delicious.

Most of my son’s meals usually look like this at home (toddler friendly food):

Toddler Finger Foods

Did you notice how things are separated? He doesn’t eat it if I mix all the ingredients and he is very particular about that. Packing food to go for me always means using tons of containers to keep things separated and that takes a lot of time and space.

Now, check out all of the space and clearly separated compartments in the Spencer Bento Box below:

The spacious bottom compartment has been great for carrying bigger fruits and sandwiches and the top container keeps veggies, fruits, nuts and other healthy snacks separated. I usually try to pack a portion of protein, a portion of veggies, some fruit and small snacks to make a balanced and healthy lunch to go.

The Spencer Bento Box is BPA- and phthalate-free,  dishwasher safe and it is divided into 3 compartments; one large and two small.  Perfect for back to school lunches!

Buy it: ($60.90) The Spencer Bento Box is available online HERE.
