For years I have been trying to look for safer, more natural beauty products for my hair and body. I’ve tried many different products, and my goal has always been to have strong, long, healthy hair using natural, non-toxic products.

So when Vegamour wanted me to take their Vegamour Hair Challenge, I got excited.

Vegamour uses a holistic approach to hair wellness, incorporating clinically tested plant-based ingredients that work in tandem to promote healthy, beautiful hair naturally, without the use of harmful chemicals. That was very evident when I received their product package. They not only sent Gro + Shampoo, Conditioner, Gro Dry Shampoo, and Hair Serum for my hair, but they also sent me some super tasty Biotin Gummies to restore my hair from within.

I love that holistic approach!

I also love that their products are non-toxic. They feature natural ingredients; they are cruelty-free, 100% vegan, gluten-free, paraben-free, hormone-free, synthetic fragrance-free, petrolatum-free and more. You can find the entire list of ingredients on their website.

One of the main ingredients they use that I wanted to learn more about was Karmatin™.  I’ve used keratin-based products for years, and I didn’t really know that keratin was an animal protein. Karmatin™ is a vegan protein that replaces traditional keratine and bonds to the hair, nourishing it instantly. Deeply nourishing your hair right after the first wash.

I could feel my hair was smoother and felt softer right after the first time I used Vegamour’s shampoo and conditioner. I colour my hair, so it is often dry, and it gets even drier in the colder months. After using Vegamour, my hair felt soft and moisturized right out of the shower. I didn’t even have to use any other product after my shower. No more out-of-control and frizzy feel.

I am in love.

Something else I noticed right away was a decrease in the amount of hair I was shedding after every shower. I used to have to vacuum the bathroom floor after washing and styling my hair. So much hair EVERYWHERE. After a few weeks of using Vegamour, that went down to about half of what I was shedding.

I also started using the Gro Hair Serum daily in some sections of my hair, where I have noticed some thinning going on.  After a few weeks of daily use, I noticed a couple of baby hairs growing in those areas.

For visible results, you should be using it daily for about 3-4 months.  I’ll continue to use this and report back once I’ve been using it for a longer time.

A few weeks before receiving my Vegamour package, I heard about possible cancerogenic ingredients in one of the dry shampoo products I used at home. I tossed it right away, and I was thrilled to receive the Vegamour Dry Shampoo. Featuring clean ingredients and no toxins, like organic rice starch, it was a better choice for me.

Since I don’t wash my hair daily, using the dry shampoo is a must in my routine, and I love that the Vegamour dry shampoo smells divine and leaves my hair feeling clean and removing excess oil.

Here are also some other photos of what my hair looks like now after using the Vegamour products and taking their Biotin gummies consistently for a couple of weeks.  I am so happy with the results. It is so full and healthy looking! Very smooth and easy to style; I love my hair now!!
