Taking Care of Your Legs During The Summer

Taking Care of Your Legs During the Summer

I love the summer time. I enjoy visiting our local parks and beaches and spending lots of time outdoors with my boys. I also love being able to wear dresses and shorts and not having to wear multiple layers and bundle up when leaving the house.

Since I spend most of the summer wearing dresses I have to take good care of my skin and particularly my legs. Below I share my personal skin care routine to have healthy looking legs that are soft and smooth all summer long.

  • Bath Time

Spending a lot of time outdoors with the boys, jumping on the trampoline and playing on the grass and dirt means my skin needs a good cleanse every evening. I often take a relaxing bath after the boys are in bed. I use the AVEENO® Skin Relief Gentle Scent Coconut Body Wash and I love it. My skin feels super smooth, clean and smells amazing after my baths.

  • Shave

The not so secret “secret” to smooth, soft legs is getting rid of unwanted hair. The Schick Intuition Advanced Moisture razor helps me moisturize while I shave. I love not having to use shaving gel and that saves me precious time and money. I also like the Skin Conditioning Solid containing Shea Butter that keeps my legs soft and healthy looking.

  • Moisturize

After a nice bath and getting rid of all unwanted hair I use the AVEENO® Skin Relief Gentle Scent Coconut Lotion to lock in moisture and replenish my skin. After applying my skin feels velvety soft and it is the perfect end to a fun day in the sun.  I just love the light coconut scent as well.

  • Sunscreen

Do you want beautiful, healthy skin? Make sure you use sunscreen daily, even on those cloudy,  overcast days. I apply sunscreen  to my face, arms and legs every morning religiously and re-apply mid-day if I have been very active or spent time in a pool or playing with water. Skin protection is super important, don’t forget that.

  2. Huge Aveeno fans here! We’ve been using their products for years!

  3. Great tips! The Aveeno Skin Relief Gentle Scent Coconut Lotion is wonderful, it moisturizes and makes my skin soft.

  4. Big fans of the products you mentioned!

  5. My facial skincare routine consists of DAY – cleanser, serum, eye cream, SPF 50 day cream and at NIGHT – cleanser, serum, eye cream, night cream.

  6. All great products and ones I would enjoy using!!

  7. I love these razors, no need for shaving cream, but I find the cream part runs out way before the razor is ready to be replaced, other than that I love it!!

  8. I haven’t used shave cream or gel in awhile it tends to be too perfumy for me

  9. Love aveeno products! I usually use coconut oil when shaving – I hate shave gel.

  12. This shaver sounds like what I may need. My skin is so dry and my legs have bumps and age spots etc. that when I shave they get nicks sometimes. Also I love Aveeno products and have not ever use the AVEENO Skin Relief Gentle Scent Coconut Lotion. I will have to shop for it to try.
