Google Nexus 7 Tablet {Holiday Gift Idea}

Nexus 7

The new Google Nexus 7 is a powerful 7″ tablet that fits in the palm of your hand. This tablet is super portable, thin and light weight and it features over 2.3 million pixels! With a simple and clean design the Google Nexus 7 is one of our picks for our Holiday Gift Guide.

I had a chance to try out the Nexus 7 thanks to Staples Canada and I love how compact and comfortable to hold this tablet is. I really like the soft, matte back as well and the bright and high quality display.

I really appreciate the fact that I can carry the Nexus 7 in my bag and it is not bulky or heavy, perfect to grab and go. The Nexus 7 has over 10 hours of battery life as well so I don’t have to worry about having to charge it all the time.

I find using the tablet very helpful when I am cooking and following a recipe. Much easier than using a cookbook and I don’t need to have my laptop on the kitchen counter anymore, I can now easily read my recipes and move the tablet around where I need it!

I have also been using it to read eBooks and as an MP3 players for music and live radio. If I have long waits or travel time it is also great to add videos or movies to watch. I have downloaded a few of my son’s favourite videos into it as well and I like that you can customize the home screen and create personal profiles for each user.

The Google Nexus 7 is available with 16GB and 32GB memory and pricing starts at $249.

    My nephew has been asking for a tablet, so I’ve been shopping around trying to get an idea which would be the best fit for him. Apple is just way too expensive! This one is affordable, and to be honest, I much prefer google/android. Thanks for your review!

    I have heard amazing things about this tablet. And I know my husband has this on his wishlist. My brother said this is the tablet to get if you’re on a budget and don’t want to sacrifice on any thing else.

    Wow, the Google Nexus 7 Tablet is looking good, a very handy size, amazing what they pack into such a small space – wish they could work out how to do that with my brain too 😉
