Everyone has files they need to keep organized and secure and don’t want just being left out for little hands to get a hold of. Master Lock has a document storage box exactly for this purpose! It is small in size being 6” x 13.5” x 10.5”. It holds Letter sized hanging files. It comes with a lock and two keys. It is made with a durable steel construction which is supposed to withstand daily use. We have had it in our home for a bit now and use it regularly. We like that it is lightweight but find that it can be easily dented. We also found that the handle didn’t seem to be on very securely. Normally the storage box wouldn’t be hauled around many places so it would be ok. But if you are a person who would be moving it constantly I could see this becoming an issue.
To make it work best for us we put our paperwork in it that we use regularly or will need again soon. Things like our bills to be paid soon or paperwork for upcoming kids activities. We find it is too small to hold everything we need but once we are done with the items in it and they won’t be needed for a while we move them to our other file cabinet which is able to hold more paperwork.
We like that is easy to transport so I can leave it put away in our bedroom where we don’t have to worry about the children playing with it, but can easily pull it out and move it to wherever we need it. Usually I am doing paperwork in the kitchen in the evening once the kids go to bed. I like that I can grab it and go and not have to worry about something big and heavy.
For us we will be looking for something a bit more durable. But I think this would be a great item for a person just starting out with filing who wants something lightweight and portable. It’s listed on the website for $21.09 and I feel that it is a great price for this product!
