Braun ThermoScan Ear Thermometer {Product Review}

thermometer

Unfortunately cold and flu season is expected to hit its peak this month. We are really hoping to avoid getting sick again and we are working on prevention but we are also preparing to deal with it if we get sick.

To help us prepare for the season we received the Braun ThermoScan Ear Thermometer to try out. The ThermoScan Thermometer makes it easy to read your child’s temperature. I like that it features a nightlight that is perfect for night readings and it has a small, flexible pre-warmed tip that provides comfortable and accurate temperature reading.

Something else that is unique and I like about this thermometer is the “one of a kind positioning system”. This system uses a light and a beep to let you know when the thermometer is correctly placed in the ear. No need to guess anymore.

The ThermoScan Thermometer also features a memory function that allows you to recall the last 9 temperature readings and it comes with a box of 20 disposable lens filters to maintain accuracy and hygiene, minimizing germ transfer.

I love all of the extra functions and the fact that it comes with a protective case to store it. Easy to use and accurate when you need it most.

The Braun ThermoScan Ear Thermometer is available at All Mass and Pharmacies (Walmart, Target, London Drugs, Loblaws, Toys R Us, Jean Coutu, Rexall, Lawtons), except Shoppers Drug Mart for $89.99. The package includes a pretty useful protective case with lens filter storage to keep everything in one place, 21 disposable filters and 2 AA batteries.  For more information visit www.braunthermometers.ca.

    This looks like it’s a lot bigger than the ear thermometer that I had. Mine had little sheaths to cover the measuring tip that went into the ear. I like that this one records the last nine readings, that’s a good addition.

    This seems like a great choice in thermometers…quite the upgrade from the old mercury ones!

    I am really impressed with this Braun Thermo Scan Ear Thermometer. It is easy to use and easy to store. It is convenient and lets you know when you have placed it in the child’s ear correctly.
    If I had small children now, I would really love to have this type of thermometer in the house.

    Hi,

    I have the same thermometer but it doesn’t switch on anymore. Im not sure if its because the battery has died or what. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Hira
